What do you mean “Therapeutic Massage?”

Therapeutic Massage

All massage has therapeutic value, so when we talk about the healing power of massage, we mean the whole skill set that your therapist brings to the table - beyond a single style or modality. Based on your goals, your massage therapist may apply a spectrum of techniques to facilitate the desired change.

Goals

Our clients have a wide variety of goals. Maybe you are ready to receive touch again after living isolated under the pandemic for two years. Maybe the only thing that matters is being able to relax and luxuriate in human contact. Did you suffer a wonky night of sleep and now your neck and shoulder junction is all glommed up and sticky-stiff? Whatever your desired outcome, your massage therapist will access any and all techniques at their disposal to create a custom treatment plan to get you to where you want to be.

Modalities

Some of the modalities or styles of massage that our massage therapists have include; Swedish/Circulatory Massage, Myofascial Release (MFR), biodynamic and biokinetic Craniosacral Therapy (CST), Thai Massage, Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage (DTM) - which includes things like muscle energy techniques (MET) and Trigger Point Therapy (TrP), as well as the use of literal tools like silicone cups and gua sha. Truly, any combination of manual therapy application that falls under the umbrella of massage we are fully trained to apply to serve you best.
